I am Adrian Cadman, I am a 25 year old transgender autistic man and I have been attending Skimstone sessions for the past couple of years.
I found out about Skimstone by chance encounter and started attending sporadically at first before I felt fully comfortable with the organisation and the people in it.
Since joining completely I have acted as Documenter and Timekeeper for the gigs at educational facilities, I have co-created a short film interview as part of a Reaching Out event focusing on local musicians and later had opportunities such as attending a five week course on Wildlife Photography and Filming, and more recently contributed more directly to the Skimstone Band, Reality Boots, as a second keyboardist at a couple of local gigs and the Give a Gig a Week Event.
I have at least a passing interest in most if not all forms of art and have prior experience in graphic design, 3D design, painting in watercolour and acrylic, scratch-away art, ceramics: both hand formed and pottery throwing; and tradition pen and pencil drawing. I have less experience with poetry and creative writing.
I have recently started exploring things like film, wildlife photography, video editing and sound editing.
I am currently learning the keyboard/ piano and the skills that go along with that like keys and music reading.
I don’t typically have a direct artistic inspiration but rather I get inspiration from the experiences of others, through interaction with my friends and artistic peers.
