Alex Elliott

Alex Elliott

Alex returned to the North East to join Northern Stage’s Ensemble where he performed for seven years as well as making film for performance, before leaving to collaborate with Quarantine on Grace.

He has worked in Spanish, English, French and Catalan with companies such as Le Styx (Marseille) Kneehigh, Traverse Theatre, West Yorkshire Playhouse and Teatre Romeu. He is an Associate Artist of Unfolding Theatre and is a member of their Advisory Group. He was one of the artists responsible for Building Palaces and the solo performance piece Best in the World. As Artistic Director of Operating Theatre Alex has helped create a dozen new works, collaborating with performers from across the region.

Alex is strongly committed to finding and nurturing new audiences and making work that reflects the concerns of those people. He is delighted to establish an artistic connection with Skimstone Arts and is currently working on The Ties that Bind with Skimstone Arts and involved in the making of Michael’s Map.
