I have been coming to Skimstone arts on and off since 2007. During that time I have been involved in at least six project. Over that time due to work commitments I have missed a month here and there. Since I was at school I have always had a passion for music and never got the opportunity to do it, so I came to Skimstone Arts and have been given the chance. I have also got the opportunity to gain transferable skills to take out into the work place, for example communication, teamwork and being responsible for projects happening.
I have gained other skills like using Adobe Photoshop to manipulate images, film making, and how to play guitar plus other skills like learning how to record an album. I have also gained my Bronze, Silver and Gold Arts Award. I was one of the first people in England to gain my Gold Arts Award.
I am part of the Reality Boots a band that is formed from Skimstone Arts, Young Artists Collective. Originally I was singing but have moved on to learning to play guitar and am possibly going back to performing both. I have got the opportunity to perform at gigs. I now volunteer to help out at events.
