Craig Astley

Born Hexham 1979. Lives and works in NewcastleGateshead

Head of Communications & Digital Engagement at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead, Craig Astley chairs the board of directors and assists in leading the strategic direction of the company. Areas of focus for Skimstone Arts include communications/messaging, advocacy, cultural leadership and audience development within the arts.

Other current positions held include Chair of the Board for Curious Arts who produce the LGBT arts Curious Festival; member of Steering Group for The Late Shows; member of Steering Group for the NGCV Audience Development initiative The Insider. Qualifications include BA (Hons) in History of Modern Art, Design & Film awarded by Northumbria University Newcastle and a CIM Professional Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
