Darren Johnson

I am Darren Johnson and I came to Skimstone about 4 years ago in 2013. I joined to Skimstone cause I was interested in meeting new people then from there I learned to play bass guitar and some photography.

Skimstone is important to me because I get opportunities like learning an instrument, learning about photography and taking part and I have taken part in a bit of drama. At Skimstone, I do different things such as photography, playing bass guitar and I am taking on learning guitar as I like the sound of an electric acoustic guitar and I want to write my own songs in the future.

When I started Skimstone I achieved my Bronze and Silver arts awards and received my certificates to show I passed. I hope to achieve learning guitar and bass guitar as I really enjoy those two instruments since I like the sound what you make on an acoustic guitar and bass. Artistically, Peter Saaremets inspired me to learn bass guitar and now I play in the band Reality Boots. I enjoy being part of the band and doing live performances for the audiences.

I am currently working on learning acoustic guitar and bass I have been playing bass guitar for a few months now and I have just invested in a guitar so my next goal is to learn to play guitar, chords, arpeggios, songs and write my own songs in the future.
