Greta Heath

Greta Heath is a contemporary dancer and screen dance artist, based in Newcastle, who plays the role of Dina in 2020’s Peace Procession3: Standing Together.

Greta was also a part of Peace Process-ion2 in early 2019, taking on the role of dancer, performer and artist in residence.

“I am really grateful and excited to be part of this project, collaborating with other artists from different disciplines. I am keen to learn how to create a piece which deals with historical and socio-political issues as well as creating work that can be performed in public spaces,” said Greta.

“Being part of the Peace Proces-sion2 was a powerful and inspiring experience. I felt grateful to be able to perform with such a diverse group, exploring difficult subject matter with great sensitivity and creativity,” she added.

Claire Webster Saaremets, Artistic Director of Skimstone Arts, said: “Greta brought a strong sense of emerging contemporary dance practice, an ability to work collaboratively with time and site specific challenges, alongside being flexible, innovative and encouraging when working with other cast members. I very much look forward to working with Greta again.”

After graduating in 2018 from Newcastle college with a BA in Dance, Greta has Greta has been commissioned by Dance City to create a screen dance piece, and is part of TIN Arts’ Talent Hub and Fertile Ground’s Artist development programme.
