Michaela is an emerging artist/musician with a passion to learn more about what that means to herself and others. She is a lead singer in the Skimstone Arts band Reality Boots where she collaborates with the other members to create original songs.

She has been a member of Skimstone Arts’ Young Artists Collective for two years. Within Skimstone Arts she is a member of the leadership team which has helped improve her confidence and knowledge.

Michaela has also achieved her Bronze Arts Award and is working towards her Silver. She has performed and helped organise many gigs, events and exhibitions, alongside being a part of artists residencies, within Skimstone Arts.

Being a single mother of two, she knows the difficulties of finding time and feeling able to be a part of anything else, which is why she was excited to hear about the opportunity to join the Reaching Out Team to help others know they can create and find a place to express themselves and learn valuable skills.
