Angeltrain explores the idea of placing a live religious icon of an angel within an industrial, secular location of a train station. It was inspired by finding a tiny white feather in the massive factory space at the Robert Stephenson Trust Museum where the first locomotive was built.
The devising of Angeltrain instigated a range of responses from the public as the angel drifted on and off train and into various stations Edited footage from multiple cameras was woven together with sound samples and compositions by the artist to form the piece.
