Tearooms are social places to meet people from all over the world and share stories about our lives through the rituals of cooking, eating and drinking together. Washington Wildlife Centre is a place where creatures from the air and water meet and share temporary lives in a new environment.

Stories from the children from Leadgate Infant School and the community in Leadgate were collected over cups of tea and juice in the tearooms and, along with the artists own tales, woven into soundtracks with collected video footage of birds in flight from Washington Wildlife Centre.
