to another woman
in the Congo Or Chicago Chechnya

I voted Trump
And Brexit because I’d read the papers

What if
I believe in Jesus…
and Mohammed
And I want us all to live in peace

What if
I fell …
And stank of drink
And started taking my clothes off
cos I didn’t know what I was doing
and someone came up and started snogging me..
and I didn’t know what to do

What if

I walk towards you with 2 children
one was staring .. in fear.. and the other child screaming…
Because we don’t know your language..

What if I lost my cat My shoe My knickers My credit card My Mum Myself
I was lost
I didn’t know who you were or where I was
I couldn’t remember your name

I asked you to smile at a complete stranger
And place your hand on their shoulder
And send them hope..
